This new line has been developed to meet the needs of the most modern engines: the continuous downsizing of the same, combined with direct fuel injection systems and other devices such as Stop&Start, they have in fact imposed new operating parameters on this delicate component as well. The central electrode has a contact made of Iridium, an extremely resistant material. Thanks to its exceptional characteristics, it was possible to produce it in an extremely small diameter, which allows for a lower voltage requirement for triggering reduced risk of misfires – and better self-cleaning – less formation of encrustations. Both the lateral ground electrode and the inner part of the central one are made of Yttrium with a copper core, allowing for excellent electrical conductivity and even more effective heat dispersion. Not only that, the shape of the ground electrode has also been redesigned,
slightly shortened to leave the area where the spark is ignited more exposed. This allows the flame front generated by the spark to be left more free and reduces the voltage required for ignition. These design features, combined with the use of noble materials such as iridium, make these spark plugs ideal for both petrol-powered cars and LPG/methane-powered engines, ensuring very high mileage with high performance throughout the entire period of use. Lo specchio è perfettamente rispondente alla descrizione. Il modello da me scelto, non è del tipo riscaldabile e combacia esattamente alla cornice che lo supporta.
